The Biennale of Sydney welcomes Adam Boyton, head of Australian Economics at ANZ, to our Board of Directors.

Adam Boyton has extensive experience across the public and private sectors. He has been a board member of the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust, the NSW Rural Assistance Authority, the NSW Skills Board and the NSW Rice Marketing Board. Adam has also served on audit and risk committees (including as Chair). As the National Skills Commissioner he led the establishment of the National Skills Commission (NSC), positioning the NSC as a core advisor to Government on labour markets and presenting to Federal and National Cabinet on labour market developments during COVID-19. This governance and public policy background is complemented by extensive private sector experience. Adam has been the Chief Economist at the Business Council of Australia and the Chief Economist and Head of Fixed Income Research at Deutsche Bank Australia.

Adam Boyton said: “I am honoured to join the Board of the Biennale of Sydney, an organisation that plays a vital role in fostering artistic expression and cultural exchange.

The Biennale has a rich history of showcasing bold and thought-provoking contemporary art, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success and impact, both locally and globally.

There has never been a more important time to support art and artists that make us stop and think in different ways.

I am also excited to work alongside such an experienced Board, whose dedication and vision have helped shape the Biennale into the internationally respected platform it is today.”
